There and back again!

This week started off with a blast! It’s December, the full-on holiday season and there are so many things to do and look forward to.

I took a very long break from writing because I wanted to do some other things as well. My daily schedule looks erratic most of the time because I’m trying to squeeze in too many activities. Exercise, write, read, prepare lectures for work, work, play the guitar, study Chinese, cook, and spend quality time with my guy. I wanted to do as many things as I could in one single day, but everything was done in a rush and it got tiresome. Therefore, I prioritized practicing my guitar skills and I’ve put writing on hold. Since I’m a beginner and still learning, playing the guitar takes a lot of dedication, practice, and persistence. As with everything else. So I had to give up on something to enjoy and improve at something else. Well, there are only so many hours in a day and managing time is very difficult when you have too many hobbies or interests.

What else do you like doing besides writing or reading? Do you have time for other hobbies? How do you manage your time?

I too have devoted many hours to learning to play the guitar, but my fingers are old and their ‘muscle memory’ has alzheimer’s. At a push I can knock out ‘Blowing in the Wind’ as long as everybody sings really slowly…

I have my guitar for about 3 months, but I hope my friends won’t ask me to play something 😂

Cooking, fitness, riding my motorbike, reading…but you’re right. Time is the enemy so often and we have to prioritise.

Oh, yes! motorcycles!! I want to learn how to ride, and this is the main reason I started working out. I have a small frame and no strength. 😂 We have 3 functional ones: Suzuki VX 800, BMW GS 1100, and Yamaha XT 600. And Aprilia Pegaso 125 which I want to rebuild for myself to learn on it. Hopefully, next year I’ll be courageous and determined enough to face my fears and achieve another dream.
